Born from London’s 90s hardcore underground, Psycoptic’s roots trace back to multiple early aliases. Under the name Numb, he played nights at the Prince of Orange in Elephant and Castle and Db4D in Brixton, run by Steve and others. Tracks from this period were reviewed in M8 Magazine, the definitive voice of the UK hardcore scene.

Around the same time, a happy-hardcore track submitted simply under the name Mike to a Hixxy competition on Kiss FM went on to win airplay - an early moment of recognition, even though the track was never formally released.

Today, Psycoptic is a London-based hardcore artist making high-BPM tracks that blend rave energy with modern uptempo sound, known for “Fun Another Way” and a style that leans into the more fun side of hardcore.
